The Bubs on The Feeling's album!
Having just received word ourselves, the Bubs are proud to let you know that our version of Love It When You Call, originally by Brit-pop band The Feeling, has been included on their most recent release!
The deluxe edition of their album Join with Us includes a bonus disc of live or otherwise rare recordings of theirs, but the closing track (listed as "Love It When You Call [Chorale Version]") is actually the Bubs' version!
To hear a clip of Love It When You Call (or purchase the whole album), take a look at the album page for Pandæmonium.
The Bubs are in a book!
Over the 2006-2007 school year, the Bubs were followed by GQ editor Mickey Rapkin during his research for his book on collegiate a cappella. Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory , focuses on three college a cappella groups in the country: the University of Oregon Divisi, the UVA Hullabahoos, and the Tufts Beelzebubs (that's us!). It's funny, it's insightful, it's almost stalkerish; however you look at it, it's a peek into the somewhat dramatic and unusual subculture of collegiate a cappella, a community that is quickly rising to mainstream attention. Radio programs: NPR and WNYC
As part of the press in advertising his new book, Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory , author Mickey Rapkin has appeared on a number of radio programs doing segments about the book and a cappella in general.
